Dr. Yong-Hang Zhang and Dr. Zheng Ju recently participated in the prestigious SPIE Photonics West (PW 2024) conference in San Francisco, CA. This globally recognized event is renowned for its focus on cutting-edge photonics technologies, including lasers, biomedical optics, biophotonics, quantum, and optoelectronics. Dr. Zhang delivered an invited talk titled “Material properties and applications of InAs/InAsSb type-II superlattice in IR lasers and photodetectors,” while Dr. Zheng Ju presented on “Optically-Addressed Monolithically-Integrated Multi-band Photodetectors Using Type-II Superlattice Materials.”

                                                                                                                                                                                    

Additionally, during their visit to San Francisco, Dr. Zhang, Dr. Ju, and Nathan Rosenblatt had the opportunity to reconnect with alumni of our research groups. Among those they met were Uli Koelle, Jingjing Li, Calli Campbell, Cheng-Ying Tsai, Yichen Shuai, and Wen-Cheng Sun.
